Vita Silk cream was connected to a celebrity I recognized. I fell for the free trial on the website. I gave all my personal info and ordered the free trial. They offered eye cream for $5.00. I ordered it. I received both products by Canada Post.
My bank statement for September showed

I called my credit card company to ask about the charges. Since I didn’t recognize them.
I was told that these charges were connected to the free trial. The cream and the eye cream.
I was then told that more charges were coming on my October statement
Oct 26 for $119.95
Oct 29 for $115.95
I called the phone number as advised by the credit card company. I was told that those charges are for the creams and that they would send them monthly and I would be charged those amounts monthly.
I received another package 2 days ago. I opened it and found that they had sent the creams. I planned on sending them back.
I asked them to remove those charges and that I do not want the creams. They refuse to withdraw the charges. I was then referred to a supervisor who has cancelled any further creams. The best he could do was to give me 15% of the October charges.
They want to send me 2 free months worth of creams instead of a refund. I told them I do not want the creams. I refused them. They insist on sending them.
I have received notification of my cancellation from them but in the meantime I have paid $236.00 a month for 2 months for this cream.
I found the exact same Vita Silk cream on Amazon for $27.95. I paid $472.00.
I contacted Canada Post because I received an e-mail today from them to say a package will be delivered within the next 2 days. I contacted them and asked if I have to accept it. They said just write return to sender. I notice on the packaging I received a couple of days ago a
FROM address: P.O.Box 1238, Toronto, ON M3J 0R7
I have learned an expensive mistake. I am a careful shopper but because there was a celebritie’s name attached to this cream, I fell for it.

I clicked on an on-line ad for a free trial. I failed to read the fine print, that the trial period is only 14 or 15 days. I failed to return the product in that said period and got charges on my credit card.
After discovering the charges, I immediately called my credit card company. They give me the tel number 1-855-315-8037 to cancel my subscription. Since my call was later than the trial period, they would not refund the whole amount to me. As a good- will, the refunded me 25% of the purchase price.

This company stated that Marilyn Denis quit her job to create the skin care cream (this is a false statement). The website says the beauty product is offered online as a free sample pay only shipping.
However as soon as you place your credit card in you are signed up for a subscription that will cost you $115.95 and 199.95 which they start charging you 14 days after they take your credit card information regardless of how long it takes to receive the sample.
After calling their customer service for 2.5 hours they were only willing to refund a maximum of $75 and $77 for both items this is after being sent to a supervisor and having to call again.
Vita Silk’s web site no longer exists.
Mastercard said Vita Silk covered their backs because they buried the terms of the charge in their fine print.
After trying to dispute this charge with MasterCard I have found this is a common free trial face cream scam. Searches for Vita Silk now redirect to orderperaglow.com registered by *** don’t fall for these scams.

Ad was promoted by Marylin Denis on ad when looking at nhl.com, and the next day on the Marylin show it said it was a scam using her face. It is a anti aging face cream.

This company uses multiple fake celebrity endorsements including Marilyn Denis, Tracey Moore, Jennifer Valentine and many others, stating that Marilyn Denis quit her job to create this skin care cream. They claim to offer you a free trial for a low shipping cost, but once you place your order, the VERY fine print indicates that after 14 days, you will be charged $119 and are agreeing to subscribe to monthly orders of $119.
When you try to cancel your order/subscription, you wait a significant amount of time to get through (they don’t reply to emails), they spend copious amounts of time trying to sell you the product for a “low cost” before cancelling your order. If you keep saying “no”, they keep reducing the price, but keep putting you on hold to talk to their “supervisor”.
I was almost in tears by the end of the call today. They will ignore any statements that what they are doing is illegal when referring to false celebrity endorsements. They literally ignore what you say and will continue on with their speil trying to sell you.
Apparently, this same company uses other fake celebrity endorsements to sell other face creams and diet pills under different names using the same scamming tactics (trials, hidden subscriptions, no way to contact them, etc.)
DO NOT ORDER A TRIAL OFFER FOR THIS (OR SIMILAR) PRODUCTS!
