I received an email which included a very old physical address and my social security number, claiming that I was being sued by "United Personal Loan", a company I’ve never heard of. The email used a lot of legal terms and wanted me to "rejoinder" them back, on the bottom of the email it included the name of a ‘senior executive’ from Briggs Law Firm and that was it. No address, no contact information. I contacted the only "briggs law firm" That I have been able to find and they have never heard of this person. A few days later I got another email claiming I owed $1,250 and that if I didn’t contact them, they would take it to court. The second email didn’t include my address but it still included my social. On the bottom of both emails there is a disclaimer If you have any doubts about the credibility of this email please refer to the Terms and conditions under the breach of contract via the online application filled up by you. I have never filled out an online application for any kind of loan.
