Type of a scam Employment
I received a text telling me the advertising opportunity I was interested in was advertising on my car. Check came via fed Ex. Deposited check because they used a valid business from New York that needed the advertising. Even the bank is the name of a local bank. Meanwhile I left a voicemail with company and was contacted 48 later stating 500 of the 1600 sent was mine and remainder is to pay the advertising company who is coming to put the decals on my car. When I told him my bank holds the check for 10 days he said it should only be 48hrs. He also has an accent similar to an African sounding one. He then texted me again to exchange email info and is sending me instructions on how and when to pay the man 1100.00 for the decals. Thats when I knew it was a scam.
