Type of a scam Government Grant

I received a call Wednesday, April 6, 2017, from the so called U.S. Federal Grant promising me a grant to help pay off my student loans. They new almost everything about me from my last four digits of my SSN to when I received a Pell grant for college back when I lived in Nebraska almost 15yrs ago. They said if I send them $250.00 on three separate iTunes gift cards for registration fees, I would be able to receive grant money in the amount of $25,000. So I did. Next they said the IRS needed $700.00 for tax purposes. So I did. Then they told me I needed to ay an additional $500.00 to transfer the check from state to state until it reached it’s destination. I then told them I wanted my money back. They then told me it would be another $300.00 to get a return on my money. I told them I am going to report them to the FTC and to the local authorities. The first person I spoke with called himself Jerry Kim and the second person I spoke with was claiming to be the supervisor. His name was John Parker. hey called from multiple numbers from New York. The first number is #646-470-1023. The second # is 646741-9502. The address they gave was 441 4th St. NW, Washington, DC. 20001. They both sounded like they were from India. All the money I provided was paid for threw iTunes gift cards. A total of 10 gift cards equaling up to a total amount of $950.00.
