Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill
My mother received an invoice in the mail, saying that she owed $300 for a gift card that she supposedly ordered from *** *** ***. Shortly after receiving the invoice, she began receiving calls from the company requesting payment for the gift card. They claimed that they shipped the gift card without receiving payment first and were now wanting to collect. She did not order a gift card from the company, and has no interest in the services or products that the company offers.
We have not seen any evidence of a gift card that has been delivered and contacted the company telling them to cancel the gift card. They offered to send us a new gift card, but could not cancel the old one. The company continues to call and harass my mother for payment for the gift card that she never ordered.
