Type of a scam Government Grant

Was given the info by a friend of my sister thru messenger. (maybe wasn”t her). She called it a United Nations Grant and that she received a large amount of money that helped her. I decided to check it out and contacted them. They asked for full name, address, age, date of birth marital status, male or female, occupation, mothers name, fathers name, email, income and text number . They said they input my info into their data base and would get back to me shortly. They asked what I would do with the money if chosen. They came back and said my data verification was successful and I was qualified for the benefit. Processing your grant so please wait. Then they came back and said now I had to choose the amount I wanted and I would have to pay a Case file fee and the shipping fund. If I chose 100,000 the fee was 1000, for 150,000 the fee was $1,500 and up to as much as $5000 for 500,000. The fee would have to be sent thru a money gram or Western union and my grant money would be delivered 7 hours after my payment was confirmed. The danger was that this came thru someone I knew so in beginning it seemed legit if a gov. grant. I never answered them again after 3:30. They did text me at 6:03 and said Dear Winner what is going on? I did not answer. I said 100,000 with a 1000 fee just to see what they would say. All thru texting.
