Type of a scam Online Purchase

Typical “free trial/fine print” scam where consumer pays shipping only and unwittingly gets locked into a subscription for a product while getting trapped into a second product trial by giving the victim no way out of the window other than to accept the second product trial. “Shipping” was a whopping $4.99 a bottle. Where the fine print was, you tell me. I never saw a link for it and there definiately was no link in the no way out window. So I took the “trial” with plans in mind to do it after I had completed a juice cleanse – not knowing I was only being given 14 days from date of purchase to complete the trial and cancel. So I had 19 of the 30 days done when I was billed, unauthorized by me, $89.99 twice, once for the first product and once for the second product that I was forced into accepting if I ever wanted to use my internet on my phone again. Had I even known to cancel I had no phone number to call. There was no invoice sent with the product. And I can’t find the company online, no website, no email, the only address and company name I can find is on the bottles. The phone number on the bottles (8772026437) is not the same one that appeared on my credit card statement. I called the number on the statement and asked them what the charges were for. It was then I learned about their 14 day “cancellation” policy from the date of the order. So you are not even allotted enough time to complete the trial before you can decide, much less work your trial around your schedule. Clearly the goal is not customer satisfaction here but to trap the victim into being billed and billed 4-8 times the amount that like profits are marketed for elsewhere. I had to tell the attendant several times that I do not want anything else from them. The refused to reverse the charges and even had the gall to try to sell me more product. The attendant told me she would cancel further bills and shipments but I don’t trust that they will. As they refused to be reasonable about the matter I had no choice but to call my credit card company in on the matter. I can’t say if the product is any good or not as I only consumed it for 11 days and as I am now in dispute I can not complete the trial. My guess is the product is so bad that the only way they can sell it is by trapping unsuspecting consumers into it. Online research has found similar complaints on other consumer report websites and it appears this scam operates from other areas of the country. The company name on my credit card statement are not the same as the one on the bottle: GCD Ultra Clean and GCD Toned Amaze Store. It is obviou that This business intends not to be found. For now I am in the hands of the investigators at my credit card company.
