Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I first received a text saying that this guys wife was interested in two Stephen Kaye paintings and to reach her at [email protected] I messaged her and told her about my paintings. Elizabeth Scott said she was interested in buying them from me. I told her what I wanted for them and she said ok. She told me she would give me an extra $50 for holding it for her until a check was sent to me plus money to pay the shippers she had to pick it up. She said I would have to put it in my account and withdraw the money and keep my part of the money and take the rest to a Western union. She gave me a persons name and a city, state, and zip to send it to. I was skeptical from the beginning. I called the ScamPulse.com as soon as I received the check, and they said it was a scam and a fake check. I am glad I was careful and checked it out.
