Consumer has service through Trend Micro (not Trend Microo). Consumer received a notice in the fall of 2019 that some information with Trend Micro had been compromised. This week, consumer received an email to "start" not renew this subscription, It said, you must download and activate your software. The email continued, you will need to use the serial number that is included in the email. This serial number did not match the current serial number for Trend Micro (current subscription). Included was a bill that totalled $361.59. It indicated that if you want to cancel or make any changes to the subscription, call – we will guide you. The email indicated this is automatically generated, do not reply.
Consumer contacted Trend Micro who indicated they had not sent this email.
