Type of a scam Debt Collections
Caller from Treasury Dept/IRS claiming that I owe $4830.00 in unpaid taxes from 2013 tax return and that several attempts by mail were sent(none of which I received). If I didn’t talk with a supervisor to rectify monies owed, they would be sending out a sheriff to arrest me and prison time for two years. I asked them t o talk to my accountant and wanted a number they could reach them. They hung up. A very threatening voice mail was left on my phone. The number left was 1-202-800-5569.
