Call came from a local number but it was from Travel Promotions and I was then connected to Mitzy with Caccun Special Promotions. They have called several times using a different local number. I answered a few questions then hung up as I didn’t want to give them any further information

I was still sleeping when the person called. The girl stated a name and said she was from Travel Promotions. The next question she asked was "Can you hear me?" I stated "yes." She then started into her spiel. I interrupted her stating, "I’m not interested." Then hung up the phone. I wasn’t comfortable with the call, so I checked into it, and discovered this is a scam. The name under the caller ID appeared as Judith Ramsey. Since this just happened minutes ago, I’m concerned about the identity theft issues behind it!

Got a call from an unrecognized number. I answered, and the woman at the other end said, “Hi, my name is Sam and I’m with Travel Promotions. Can you hear me okay?” I have been forewarned about the “can you hear me” calls. Hang up and don’t say anything!

Received a call at work and heard a female say something like this: "This is Sandy(?) calling from Travel Promotions(?). Can you hear me ok?"
I replied "Sorry, this is a business" and hung up. It didn’t dawn on me until after I hung up that this was probably one of those scams where they want to record you saying "Yes" so they can use it for fraudulent purposes.

I didn’t realize it was robo-call until I had already answered the "yeah" to their question. It was a local number. When I looked it up on Google it was a yard service in Holton, MI yet the call said it was a travel promotion. Now I’ll have to double check all my bank statements and pray I’m not signed up for some service I don’t want.
