Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I was contacted by this man offering me a job with market research at 500.00 a week for 10-18 a week. He then sent me a application and asked me to fill it out I asked how he got my email he stated through ziprecruter.com However after I filled out the application I didn’t hear from him for a couple weeks and then he sends me a text message informing me that his wife had to have urgent surgery, that is why he has been M.I.A then again nothing for a week. Then Monday I receive this check out of the blue and he is texting me expecting me deposited it in my account as cash and go to 7eleven store, Bank of America and Walgreens as a customer and purchase things and access the staff and write a survey. But He also wants me to send him a copy of my deposit slip. I don’t know if it is a scam, but it sure does smell like one. The check I received is for 1,990 and it has my name and address on as well as someone by the name of Sarah Jackson. The check says Michigan schools and government credit union Corporate draft.
