The Vita Lottery Pool

Candace –

Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes

Received a call from an individual in New Jersey, his father had been contacted by these scammers in regards to a lottery win fall, they mailed him a Vita Lottery Pool Confidential document and a cheque for $14,250.00 USD.

Fortunately the recipient recognized this as a scam and contacted me because they had forged a cheque from my company in Toronto, Ontario Canada to pay him the advance fees which he was to send back to them with his own cheque. Obviously this scam would harm my business as they forged my cheque and then the recipient has his account would be out the money he sent them.

My only resolve to change bank accounts to stop this activity against my company. The Police are not that interested in helping.

Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes

I received a letter in the mail from "The Vita Lottery Pool," informing me I won a lottery pool sponsored by Visa, MasterCard & American Express. They stated my name had been drawn from their credit selection system and that I had been awarded a lump sum reward of 670.000.00 USD. The letter then stated the reward would be sent to my house upon verification via telephone of my name, address, telephone number, and the reference numbers provided in the email. If I did not contact them within 30 days, the check would be deemed unclaimed or cancelled.
