I’m not sure yet that this is a scam but in case it is. I wouldn’t think any government program would have me apply through texting. This is what I received in a text:
This is 100% real and legitimate. The United States Treasury Department?s Office of Consumer Policy has announced the creation of the Financial Empowerment Innovation Fund to support new programs, strategies and initiatives focused on increasing financial capability and providing greater access to financial products and solutions. Approximately $900 million will be awarded by the Fund this year. Our head office is located at New York. Should we proceed?
