A email was sent to me in the form of Mystery Shopper opportunity, but instead they sent a cashier check which they wanted cashed, transfer a certain amount through Western Union when that didn’t work they wanted the money to be transferred to Moneygram. Western union has the money and will not dispense the original amount of money sent to this person. I will send a copy of the emails that was sent. The western union agent gave me a differnt number to get the money. I will inform the bank .

Later was sent through the mail a "check" for $2900.00 with directions to cash out the check at my bank or deposit it for a period of 24 hours and then proceed with my assignment. Was to evaluate a Western Union by sending $2600.00 to a location in Poland, use $100 for transfer charges and keep the $200 as my commission. Checked with Citibank to verify the validity of the check and found that it was not a valid check.

Cashier check sent in a 2 day priority envelope for $2300 no letter about a hour later I received a text message from a out of town number asking if I received my payment for my 1st assignment.. I was dumbfounded like what assignment? Huh when I responded yes and asked what was this about the texter send back I’d receive a email with further instructions. Never checked to email.

Received an email from Ideal Shoppers Service with a FIRST ASSIGNMENT. Prior to that received a check in the mail via second day USPS for the amount of $2450. Directions on "assignment" were provided in email/PDF attachment. Directions were to deposit the check in my account; then go to Wal-Mart/Money Gram; spend $40 on Goods of my Choice at Wal-Mart; then go to MoneyGram area and ask to wire transfer the amount of $2210 to a specific receiver.
The check was identified as fraudulent; the signage at the MoneyGram store were very helpful in identifying potential scams.
