Type of a scam Online Purchase

I have been researching dog breeders to adopt a new puppy. Their site came up on one of search feeds. They displayed a normal website with all appropriate pages and testimonials. They offered pictures of the puppies they had available with a link to message about interest in purchasing.

I reached out with generic message about wanting to purchase and to please call. Within an hour I received a text confirming they received my request and they sent me an email with details.

The email included a lot details about the puppy, their mission and several credible photos of the puppy. Clearly same dog in different settings. It really eased my suspicions and was excited. They included in the email they operate out of chandler AZ and the pricing includes shipping. They asked a handful of interview questions you would expect from a dog breeder. I answered all, no personal information, and told them I was in chandler too. They responded great what day do you want to come pick up the puppy. I told them I could come any evening this week but would only come if I could all them to answer my questions first. They completely ghosted me with that response. I called their phone number and it is text messaging service. I went back to their website to read closer, the home page made vague reference of being the best service in Washington and northeast. I don’t recall seeing that the first time, I looked for a location. The site bottom also included several tags; like french bull dog rescue, French bulldog puppies in my area and many other common search lines someone looking for a dog would search.

I am not sure if I caught them off guard with I am in the area and can come anytime or if they targeted my location as part of a bigger scam.

I am concerned about them having my name, number and email address but did not release any financials, other personal information or payments.

Concerned with them taking advantage someone financially, obtaining personal information for cyber attacks or if this was an attempt to lure me somewhere.
