I got a call from 1-800-735-2989, saying that they were from the Tennessee Department of Health and Human Services. They told me an out-dated address (where I lived 3 years ago) and asked if I still lived there. I asked a few questions, like where they were calling from and where their offices were located. They gave me a bogus address (though on an actual street in downtown Nashville), but couldn’t tell me what part of town they were in or anything else (so, an obvious scam). The caller was male and had a strong accent (perhaps Indian or Pakistani), but gave his name as Joe White.
