I almost got scammed while applying to a personal assistant job ad on Craigslist. I received an email from the company asking that I complete a questionnaire with a few general questions and I quickly respond verifying my name and physical address.
First email. (REP ID:# **E09M05Y19)!Thanks for getting back swiftly and expediency is one of the major qualities i am looking for.This letter is the complete and exclusive statement of employment between you and me.Your employment with me is classified as at-will, meaning that either you or me can terminate the relationship at any time, for any reason, with notice.
A payment (Money order) will be mailed to you and it should deliver within 24-48 hours .After receiving the payment, you will have it processed at your bank.The payment will include your weekly wages and the rest will be used to carry out your first assignment.After checking my files, your first assignment will be running an errands to few orphanage homes which I do once or twice every month.I am always donating gift items & medical equipment to the kids at Foster homes. I am happy with my profession because my efforts put smile on faces.I might be unable to cover up for the shipping of gifts during this coming yuletide season due to the high volume of shipments.You will be purchasing some stuffs for the kids at the orphanage home at any stores close to you and will have them mailed to the respective orphanage address which will be provided to you later.I will email you more information about the payment delivery and will use this week to test your efficiency.

They told me that I could work from home and be a assistant. They mailed me three checks of $1,000 and told me to cash them at my bank. I followed the instructions and two of the three checks was reported as fraud, now my account is frozen and I can’t use any of my money that in it. I tried calling them and emailing them but they ain’t responding.
