Type of a scam Employment
I put my resume on ziprecruiter.com. I applied for a receptionist position with Talisman Energy Inc. I then received an email stating that the position I had applied for had already been filled but there was an immediate opening for an at home personal assistant job that my resume qualified me for. I accepted the position. He then emailed me and stated that my first task was to purchase food for foster homes and then send the food to the specific foster homes on a list he would provide. He said that he would send me a check in the mail to cover the costs. On Monday February 6th 2017, I received a check in the mail in the amount of $3,900. I then got an email stating that I needed to deposit the check into my bank account. Part of the funds would be available immediately and then the next would clear the following day. I went to my bank and explained the situation because I was leery. They told me that they have seen this before and the checks turn out to be fraudulent so they would have to put a 14-day hold on the check. I sent a text message to Mr. Grayson telling him what they said. Then I no longer heard back from him. After not hearing from him last night and all day today I sent him a message letting him know that I would be reporting him as a scam to the ScamPulse.com and also ziprecruiter.com. He then proceeded to answer me with the message " *** off pls". I have already reported him to ziprecruiter.com and now I am reporting him to you. I hope something will be done about this matter immediately. Unfortunately not everyone is as leery as me and would jump on this opportunity. I don’t want to see any person get scammed this way.
