Type of a scam Counterfeit Product
I am elderly and have memory issues. I was talked into spending $300 with sys.techsolutions on 6/24/19 to protect my computer from hacking and malware.
I have had nothing but trouble with my computer since then.
Today I received a phone call telling me that the company needs to refund my money because their software has been hacked (exposing my information) and that it has “expired” and needed to be removed from my computer (which I am unable to use due to repeating Apple ID / password issues.
They asked me to buy a $500 gift card and give them the serial # so they can refund my $300 to that card. I refused to buy a gift card and asked that they send me the refund by mail. They hung up.
I feel I have been duped and scammed.
Is there an ongoing investigation of this company going on at the BBB? Perhaps a class action suit. Any info on this will be appreciated.
