My husband and I were looking for a puppy to add to the family and we found sweet cane corso and inquired about the puppies they have for sale. They emailed us questions to "get-to-know" us to make sure we would take care of one of their puppies. On 5/28/20 we committed to buying one of their puppies and recieved a purchase agreement and sent them money via Zelle app. Then on 5/29/20 we recieved confirmation that the puppy would be shipped and delivered to our house and we were given a tracking number. Then the next day we got an email from "Royal Pet Logistics" saying we needed to pay $1500.00 as a transportation insurance (which is common — so we thought) and we were told this $1500 would be refunded upon the puppies safe arrival and that we were to send this money via the Zelle app. The Zelle app did not work for me and my bank would not approve the debit amount for either the breeder or the royal pet logistics company. So we tried to pay them a different way via direct deposit using my banks bill pay feature. They then "refunded" us that money because they said it wouldn’t be there soon enough and they didn’t want to hold the puppy that long. So I got my bank to cancel that (still waiting on the funds to return to my account) and we then sent them money via "Western Union" from Price Chopper in Dunmore, PA on 6/1/2020 and then sent them pictures of the reciepts. We were then told they would proceed with the shipping of the puppy. Then yesterday 6/2/2020 I recieved another email from "Royal Pet Logistics" saying the vet w[censored]ding the puppy due to a vaccine they did not receive (the canine influenzea shot) and that we needed to send them another $1280.00 as insurance in case something happened to the puppy after he was given the vaccine. I told them they didn’t need to give the shot to the puppy because we would have all the vaccines taken care of at out vet when the puppy got here. Durning all the back and forth I was told I was telling them how to do their job when I was just asking questions; the breeder started talking about his lawyer and said I didn’t care about the puppy but never said he would take it back. I told them we were done and to return the puppy and asked for a refund 4 times and since then haven’t heard a things. I told them they had until 3:45 pm on 6/3/2020 to return the money or we would be contacting the state police. I still have not heard anything. I did try to call the breeder and the royal pet logistics yesterday 6/2 and both numbers came back as a texting number and I could not leave a message. I wish I had called sooner. I have all of the emails and all of the text messages and the purchase agreement and the reciepts for Western Union.
