consumer was downloading tracks through Windows Media Player, and a pop up page came up with a blue background with a "call for support" with the phone number above provided. Support.microsoft.com. Windows Security/Microsoft Edge says the information is being stolen and going to some remote area. It is a "microsoft Spyware alert". The message was telling consumer not to leave the page, and if she did, they will disable her IP address. It’s a recorded voice that repeats over and over again. Consumer did call the phone number, and spoke with someone named David, saying he was with Microsoft support. He asked if she was Deborah. He also said he was in Washington, but would not disclose the city. David hung up on her when she got on the phone with the BBB.

I was contacted online and it popped up on my screen. I called the help line number they gave me. They took control of my computer and started scrolling through files. I’m afraid they will get personal information from my computer.
