Type of a scam Phishing
Received email from Institution about three failed attempts to log onto website. Do not have account with Sun Trust. Forwarded email to Sun Trust Fraud Dept. Attempted to call Institution at: 800-477-8994. Immediately auto answer attempted to provide unsolicited services. When prompted to press "#" to move to next menu once again offered unsolicited services or products through six menus. Was never able to speak to Representative at this number. Called different number: 800-786-8787, finally spoke to Representative who appeared not to care but was advised information would be passed on to Fraud Dept.
I seemed strange that the 800 number for a Financial Institution to report fraud would attempt to provide unsolicited products or services to consumers complaining.
