Type of a scam Online Purchase

I was asked to run a report after I offered the potential buyer a report that was in hand. This was the third such request from different “buyers” for different websites. After refusal, they all went away

Type of a scam Phishing

We are selling a used car and posted an advertisement on Craigslist. A supposed potential buyer contacted us by text, stated that our car was the one he wanted but he needed a UVC report (Used Vehicle Check). We sent him the VIN number of the vehicle by text and said he was welcome to get a report and if there was a cost and he ended up buying the car we would reimburse him. He became more demanding saying that we were being unreasonable and we should go to usedvehiclecheck.com. We did not respond. This was clearly a scam and was unfortunately not the first we have gotten on this car sale. Be careful!
