Type of a scam Online Purchase
I was selling my old Apple watch on LetGo and this guy from Chicago contacts me and tells me that he wants to buy my watch. He then asks me if we can text instead of messaging through the app. I said ok and he wanted me to send the watch to "his wife" in Indiana even though he is in Chicago… then he asks me if I have a phone to sell also and he is interested also.
After pricing and details were finished, he says that we should go through PayPal. He tells me to check my email and I got a PayPal confirmation email but no notices on my actual PayPal account. after researching this weird transaction, I saw that this situation may be a phishing scam. After googling some things on the email and confirming with PayPal, I saw that this was a scam.
