Type of a scam Phishing

I got a cell text with offer to wrap my vehicle for 500 dollars per week for 1 to 3 months with a check being sent to me up front and waiting for it to clear my bank I take my 500 and the rest goes to tech who do the wrap but when he sent email to me from [email protected] I couldnt answer the questions he asked because the questions weren’t set up so you could answer them. So he texted me calling me a different name other than my own. I sent a text that that was no my name he said I had not answered his email questions something seemed fishy after i answered questions through text I googled his phone number and it came up as an okcaller.com phone number out of ohio so I thought if he’s in ohio why is he using gmail then after a little more research I found out about an old car wrap scam. The offer seemed legitimate at first because they said the check would come and they would wait until it cleared which was exactly how the scam was described even down to the $500 per week payment
