Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill
If someone names Greg Goodrich calls and tries to sell you ad space at a highschool football game, it is a scam! He sounded very convincing on the phone until he as me for a method of payment and said he could take credit card over the phone or even Venmo. I opted for check in person and he sent a complete stranger (without notifying me) to my business at 8:00 P.M. to pick up this check. I felt like it was a scam after that so I emailed him professionally to let him know I changed my mind. His response to my email, “We drove all the way there only to be told no one knew anything about it. Total wasted trip.”
