Received a phone call from social security office, important information about my account and they found discrepancies on my account and they were going to discontinue my social security. The recording said for more info, press 1. When I did, I couldn’t understand them due to all of the noise in the background. I stated this to them and they disconnected the call.

The scammer announced that she was calling from the Social Security Office about an inquiry I made to the disability office. Then she asked "can you hear me ok," and when I replied "yes," she hung up.

Over 100 Robocalls. Claims to represent Social Security Office. They are making fake claims and threatening arrest warrants. Have not given them the time of day to determine how much money they are trying to extract.

This is a definite scam. Received a voicemail stating that I needed to call them right away of I could be legal issues. Checked the number in white pages and it came up as Shell Oil Co. in Texas, however when I called they said they were with Social Security office and someone was using my social security number for illegal activities. They verified my name and they already had my address. Said they had sent me two letters with no response. Then they asked me to provide them with my social security number (which I did not do). They started giving me a hard time and threatening me with possible jail time if this was not straightened out, at which point I hung up.

Do not know who they really are but they are not the social security office. These scams on people really need to stop. With all the money we pay the government every year you would think we could catch these people and put a stop to this stuff.

I noticed a number of missed calls on cell phone daily, for past week. Each time I called back. Message said "Verizon wireless. Call cannot be completed.

Today, I answered the call. The person or recording stated " this is social security office. Your S/S number has been used in south Texas. Press 1 to speak to an agent.

I pressed 1 and a live person answered. "How can I help you?". I stated "you called me". The person stated "if we called you then there is a problem with your social security. What is your name? (There was a lot of background, busy noises like other people taking similar calls) At this point I disconnected call. When I called the number back, a recording stated " this is Verizon Wireless. Your call cannot be completed." Please notify the public and Verizon Wireless.

Received a call from (800) 619-7460 saying due to suspicious activity on my social security number, my ssn and all things related will be frozen. It was a computerized voice. Told me to press 1 to connect with an officer from the national social security office. I did not obviously. Hopefully others will not either.
