I received a postcard in the mail with my name on it. It said that I won a $100 WalMart gift card and I just needed to pay $1.95 S/H. I gave my information and was told that I would receive the card in 7-10 days. I never received the card. They charged my card $1.95 twice. I had my daughter call and find out where the card was. The man, James, tried to collect her credit card info. She refused. She asked the name of the company and he hung up on her. She called back and asked the name of the company again, and he gruffly said Smart Shopper and hung up again. The man has an an accent that sounds like he may be from India.

I thought I was calling Ohio deferred comp at 877-644-6457 and mistakenly dialed 1-888-644-6457 and I said I had questions about my deferred comp and it said your number qualified for a for 100.00 Walmart gift card and sent me to a foreigner and he said I had to pay a one time payment of 4.95 when I receive the card and that they would give me a code to activate once the call was complete so I asked again if this was deferred comp and he said yes and after i gave my card information he wanted me to repeat the information for a recording and when I refused and asked to Cancel he wouldn’t cancel. So I asked to speak to customer service and he wouldn’t transfer so I asked for a supervisor which was also a foreigner, he was getting upset because I said I wanted to cancel because it was a scam and said we already have your information so we already charged your card and it will be 39.95 a month if you cancel. They wouldn’t give me a number just that its smart shopper and he said his name Matthew kidmon and he got smart and said you can take me name. And we have your credit card information and phone number and you will be charged 39.95 a month if you cancel. I hung up and waiting to see if any charges occur.

Called stating I’d been eligible for a 100$ voucher from a store I shop at. Said on 2 different calls from various numbers they were from Smart Shopper as well as a company called Family Saver. When told I was looking them up and it said they’re a scam we were cussed and argued with and then said to go to BBB.org because they are accredited. I told them there are 17,000$ in complaints about them scanning people and they laughed and said I don’t think so. Beware. They call. Let it ring one time and when you call back they say you won a rebate. But have to pay shipping. I’m no [censored].

Had a missed call on my cell phone and returned it. Person said I received a $100 gift card and proceeded to ask for a $5 activation fee. In order to do this He ("David Johnson" with a super thick Indian accent) said that I needed to provide a credit/debit number. I hung up.
