It started off with an ad on craigslist "part time office assistant needed $***/hr", I applied because I was in desperate need of a part time job since I’m going to school. I got a response the same day stating, "Hello Applicant, Your email is surely appreciated. We reviewed your response and we have gathered that you are well qualified for the current position. If you are still interested then email back to us soon.

I replied 15 days later and stated I was interested in the job and was hoping it wasn’t too late. I knew a real employer will never send money to a person they never met. I did some research and learned that other people went through the same exact scam. I replied to the Yu Jiuzhou via text (because he had texted me) and told him i was no longer interested in pursuing anything with him or the company he probably made up. He did reply to me, the next day he sent me this email "The payment coming via fedex has already been delivered to you this morning.The first thing you need to do is to get the deposit done at the banking hall, ATM or mobile deposit might not get posted next day. Get back to me with the receipt of deposit’s via photoshot. Funds will be available either within a hour after deposit has been made at the banking hall or latest overnight ( Next am/morning ). You can get the task done next tomorrow, just in case the funds is not made available till overnight." I then again told him I no longer wanting to do this, i knew it was a scam and i was going to return the fedex envelope to him. I received the FedEx envelope and i am going to send it back to the address it has. I never received a response from him at all via text or email. I am so glad i came to my senses before i lost money.

Applied for a position found on Craigslist via email. Received reply saying I had the position but would be interviewed in the near future. Then went on to say they wanted me to work on some "humanitarian" project to show my employability and I would make nearly $2,000 during the 2 week project. It went on to ask for my personal info and if I had a checking account (big red flag). The email was extremely lengthy and had several misspelled words. The name on the email was Mo Lingyi.
