Type of a scam Employment
I received a cashier’s check for $7,520.00 along with an Shoppers Guide Inc. paper informing me to deposit the cashier’s check in my bank. The envelope return address was from a C Pxxxxx in Macomb, MI 48042 which I notice that someone else on the BBB had received a job employment from another Patel with a different first name. I then received a text stating to reply to 973-xxx-xxxx identifying myself with my full name at the end of the text as an acceptance to the position of secret shopper.
The Cashiers check had on it the following:
Remitter Helen Pxxxxxxxxx Bank: Legends Bank in. Signature: D Bxxxxxe (THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE} Also states thay there should be two signatures for an amount over $5,000 which there is only the one.
