Type of a scam Home Improvement
On 10 November 2018, I contacted Shirvel Construction & Landscaping Inc. (website – https://shirvelconstructioninc.com, Telephone – 416-697-5962) for snow removal during the 2018/2019 winter season. Their advertisement appeared on Kijiji. The contract (uploaded document) was signed between the company and me for snow removal services between 15 November 2018 and 1 April 2019 for a price of $600.00.
The company Shirvel Construction did not show up for the first snowfall in December. When questioned about the no show they apologized and said that they have made some modifications to their service and said services will be delivered on time going forward.
The next snowfall was 27 January 2019 and again the company did not show up. I called Shaheen (647-671-7456) and sent several text messages and he said they were running behind schedule but again their staff did not show up. After waiting over 24 hours, we went ahead and cleared the snow off the driveway and walkway.
On Tuesday 29 January 2019 there was a snow storm. We made several attempts to contact the company to know when they were planning to come and clear the snow but we did not receive any response.
On Wednesday 30 January 2019 we received a letter from the company stating they are terminating the snow removal contract immediately with all customers and they would refund the service fees.
We have tried to contact the company but they are not responding to e-mail, text messages or calls. When I checked the company reviews there were 10 other people who had posted reviews that the company did not show up for snow removal.
At this point I know I’ve been scammed by the company Shirvel Contruction. I went on Kijiji today and the company is still advertising their snow removal services except the telephone number and address is different now <span title="(https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?adId=1414833032&siteLocale=en_CA).

My request is to assist with finding them and to stop other people from obtaining their services and being scammed by the fraudsters.
