Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I received a text shortly after posting items for sale on craigslist and then an email. The person expressed interest in an item and wanted to send me a money order with $50 added for holding the item. They wanted my name and address to mail the check to. About a week went by and I received another text and email again expressing interest in the items and the email contained instructions to cash the check right away or go to some other way to cash the check. I called the BBB. I have not received a check; however, if I do, I will not be cashing it. It sounds too fishy.
