Received a call from a VERY CONVINCING Captain Rolland from the Wichita County (Texas) Sheriff’s Department indicating that a warrant had been issued for my arrest as the result of Failure to Appear for a scheduled jury duty, and trying to extract money ($9,500) from me via the purchase of "vouchers" at Office Depot (Green Dot Money Pack). I could either follow their instructions by purchasing the vouchers, then going to the Sheriff’s Department to give my explanation of innocence wherein I would be refunded my money and have all charges removed from my record. Again, these guys were EXTREMELY polished and convincing, and kept me on the phone for over an hour before terminating the call. I consider myself to be fairly intelligent and very skeptical, and they still nearly conned me.
