As a consumer, my home loan was sold and transferred to shellpoint mortgage servicing. In this transfer I lost the right to pay down the mortgage and recast the monthly amount due. The servicer and the owner are prohibiting us from recasting the mortgage. We are being forced to refinance the loan at our own additional cost. This is illegal business practice.
