Type of a scam Tech Support

I received a pop-up window on my PC with a warning message and an audio message stating that my PC had been compromised with a virus that should be removed immediately by Microsoft. The message included this number as the number for Microsoft Support 844-378-6777. The message also stated that Microsoft would take my PC off the network if the problem was not fixed immediately. I called the number, it was answered and identified as Microsoft Professional Support, Shane Watson. I informed him of the message that had popped up on my PC and he assigned a technician. This technician remotely accessed my PC and did a scan. He claimed to have found1,104 issues and a foreign address that had accessed my PC. He claimed to have wiped my PC clean of all of those issues and tried to sell me a lifetime security package. My answer was no. He put me on hold and another technician spoke with me stating that my PC did not have a firewall. I was charged $321.00 for the services rendered, virus clean up and firewall installation plus a 3-year security protection plan. When they emailed my receipt with Altus Business Services, LLC. I realized then that I had been scammed.
