Type of a scam Debt Collections
A foreign man called. When he asked for my name. I asked who’s calling. He repeated something very fast about documents petitioned & a file #. I didn’t understand anything he was saying. Sensing a scam I told him that I never said he had the right number & do not call back. They did call right back & left a voice mail. That was when I was able to understand what he was saying about the documents petitioned, etc. I called back trying to glean what the name of the company was. He told me without the file # he did not know which company to send me to. At which point I told him to never call again or I would have my lawyers on him before he would know what hit him. He proceeded to ask for my work #. I repeated what I had said to never call me again. He kept on about my work # then hung up. The only information I have is a voice mail that I have saved. I don’t know how to get that to you or if you have had this complaint before. I am on the do not call list but that doesn’t seem to help.
