Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
first, if I remember correctly I received a link asking to be a MYSTERY SHOPPER. when i originally said yes to becoming a mystery shopper. I started receving text messages asking if im ready to receive my first aassignment . I said yes. I received Priority Mail United States Post Office Envelope as they said I would , with the check and the information of what they wanted me to buy, which was gift cards from Best buy store in my area. the check was for $1840.89. then the next morning they text to say when I received the envelope let them know when I put it in the bank let them know. Needless to say that I didn’t do neither, The person signed each text as Mark. the check has Remitter. Rebecca Pontaski on it. Catallyst Corporate federal CU. 6801 Parkwood Blvd. Piano, TX 75024-7198. The check is signed JANA HANEY. slogan on ck MTCU P.O box 7309.
