Type of a scam Counterfeit Product
When I opened the google search engine on my mom’s computer it rerouted me to a search engine called "Search Encrypt" which purported to be a safer encrypted alternative to name-brand browsers. I was immediately skeptical and when I opened the google browser the search encrypt browser offered me and searched "how to remove search encrypt", it showed results that in turn appeared to be scams. I researched search encrypt on my phone since it does not have the search engine downloaded on it, the forums I found alerted that Search Encrypt in itself is a scam and the scam alert sites and anti-scamware it leads you to are further scams. I called Asus and they walked me through how to remove it from the list of browsers in the browser settings.
