Type of a scam Online Purchase
I got taken for this scam today…
After initial contact was made, the person was no longer in Westlake (driving distance from Plano) and now in Oklahoma City, OK, and was rather insistent and pushy to receive wire payment today via Western Union. Email/ name was now listed as : [email protected], which seemed suspicious. Anyway, I sent the $500 payment via Western Union (confirmed pickup and withdrawal from my checking account today). Now I get an email from a ure ship ([email protected]) stating that the puppy cannot be shipped until I pay a "refundable" pet insurance fee of $2,650 in order to guarantee tonight delivery. I live in Plano and that would be difficult to do from OK City today at this time. Our emails:
