Type of a scam Employment
In my search for employment, I was emailed from what seemed like a hiring agency about employment from Karen A. Shumate. I was scheduled an interview for employment on google hangout. I was interviewed by Carol Cromwell and found out that the job was a work at home opportunity in a data entry and administrative position for Wright Medical. I was hired and even sent a letter of employment. I was told that I would be sent a check to purchase the company’s materials to perform the job. I became a little skeptical about this process. I was sent a $4000 check and was told to deposit the check. I questioned the process but was told the check would have to clear the bank. My skepticism grew and I contacted Wright Medical and was told that the people who were emailing were not employees for their company. I went back to Carol and asked her if she worked for Wright Medical she stated that she did. I informed her that I contacted the company and was told she and the others were not listed as employees. Carol ended the hangout conversation and the authorities were contacted.
