I received this email from SBA.com telling me to finish filling out my ppp application for the loan. If the SBA contact me it would be SBA.gov

I thought I was on the sba.gov site applying for COVID-19 assistance. I thought it was strange that they required me to upload my driver’s license. I found them from a Google search, and nowhere on the site did they mention that they are not SBA. It wasn’t until they emailed asking for additional information that I realized they "advocates to lenders on behalf of borrowers, helping you get the best deal every time".
I immediately emailed them back and phoned to tell them to delete all of my information and that I do not authorize them to share any of my information or data. I’m usually meticulous about this kind of thing but feeling an urgency to get any kind of financial assistance and didn’t catch it soon enough.

my book keeper told me this was the SBA site and that I could apply directly for the PPP loan here based on his research. They did not make it clear on the page that I landed on that it wasn’t an official SBA.gov site. Of course I should have known, but, I was fooled. I’m a physician and I am normally very astute, but, I was desperate for this government finance program and it seemed like an easy way to apply.
