I was contacted by this company that refereed to my 16 year old daughter by name stating that through her school she had requested study material for the SAT and ACT testing. They confirmed my address as the place to mail the materials. The cost was around $240. They would charge our card, send the material, and would credit us when the materials were sent back. At the time I said I didn’t have my card. I spoke with my daughter and her school, both confirming that there was no such program sanctioned by the school. The principal said they would not give out this type of information.

I got a call that my son checked a box when he took the PSAT last year that indicated he would be interested in receiving "free" SAT/ACT test preparation materials from this company. I just needed to provide my credit card information which would be used to place a hold and it would not be charged unless the test prep materials were not returned. There was a 30 day money back guarantee with no questions asked. I asked the representative who told me her name was Haley Hayes if I should send the materials (2 CDs) back by overnight mail to ensure they were returned within the 30 days and she told me that was not necessary, that they are not that strict. She said as long as I called before the 30 days to let them know the materials were on their way back that would be fine. My credit card was billed on 9/26/16 and the CDs were received a few days later (I don’t have the exact date as I threw the envelope away) so I called on 10/24/16 to let customer service know I was returning the unopened materials as my son never used them and was not interested in using them. I returned the materials on 10/25/16 through First Class USPS trackable delivery and they were received on 10/28/16. I called about 11/4/16 to ensure they were received and customer service could not even tell me if they were received. He said he would need to check and get back to me. I received a message the next day that the package was in "processing." On 11/10/16, we received our unopened package back with "Refused" written on it. I called Customer Service again to ask why and the representative said the only reason they refuse packages is because they are received after the 30 days. I told him what I was told by Haley Hayes and asked/demanded to speak with her but he said he didn’t know when she would be working. He said he would have a supervisor call me back that night but we still have never received a call back as of 11/14/2016. They now do not answer the phone when we call. The Customer Service was very unprofessional. It is noted that the PO Box on their website (9352)and the PO box for returns (9473) are not the same. There is no physical address available for this company and this was confirmed by the Customer Service Representative. When I spoke with him last, I twice stated that this seemed like a scam and he did not refute this either time. We searched online and this is listed as a scam on www.sandiegocan.org. I see this is a Consumer Action Network website. This company also uses the web address: www.collegelevelexam.org and the phone # 1-800-536-4641
