I am a Section 8 property manager at a Senior Property in Georgia. I posted about a scam that one of our residents has been a victim of on December 29, 2018. The resident has been receiving very frequent, unsolicited phone calls offering medical supplies (i.e. back braces, knee braces) that are then sent to her even after she refuses them. I became involved by unknowingly signing to accept two of these packages in our office; therefore, I tried assisting the resident by contacting the company listed on the packing information to request a return shipping label. The company listed on the packaging information was "Sandy Shores Medical, Inc." I just wanted to do a follow up post after later discovering that "Sandy Shores Medical" is the fictional name of a medical center in a video game called Grand Theft Auto V (see: https://gta.fandom.com/wiki/Sandy_Shores_Medical_Center ), so joke was on us. Just wanted to share this so that consumers would have this information that has been hard learned by us.
