Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I received a text message about a month ago. The text message was offering a job. Placing a company logo carwrap on my car. Samsung Galaxy. The person that contacts me is Steven Zelmer Representative of Samsung Galaxy. would paid $450 a wk. to have the wrap on my car. They sent me a check last week. for $1790. After I questioned them they told me to take the check and deposit into my account. After I deposited it to contact them They would give me further instructions. I did not deposit the check. I was to take $500 and wire the rest of the funds to the graphic artist. They would not give me any further information until I cashed the check and put into my account. It did not feel right to me. It seems to east. The number that always texts me is 804-480-2730. I told them I would not deposit the check until I received further details regarding the transaction. I was suspicious. I asked why am I getting this check. He said I applied. He said the graphic artist agent would show me the logos as soon as we hear the check clears. I never deposited the check or sent money.
