I was checking for information on an scamming company — Safeway Technologies, phone number: 1-855-791-2391. I went on my computer to do the things I usually do everyday — check my emails, my online bank account, my stocks, ebay if I’m doing that, and sometimes I buy on line at Amazon. Then I play the games like solitaire and whatever games ** provides free on the computer. After I finished going through my regular stuff and before going to solitaire, my computer screen flashes this important notice that my computer has a virus and to contact them right away before my computer crashes. So I did this. I dialed the number above, and got a foreign kind of speaking person telling me about virus, Trojans, whatever else — that I have no protection — he took over the mouse and was scanning my computer and telling me that I have all these things wrong that he will fix. Of course, I couldn’t understand him because of his dialect. And after listening to him for a good amount of time, he was finally leading up to "1 year, 3 years, 5 years"… That’s when I got suspicious and asked him if he was going to sell me anything. I laid into to him and hung up. Then, and only then, did I realize that Safeway Technologies was not *** Stores in *** I was just looking on line at *** stores being a provider of *** Insurance prescriptions, and then I went to *** *** to do the same. So, when Safeway Technologies was showing, I didn’t realize that they were scamming me. So I hung up. Then, now, that I am checking it out on the internet, I find info about this company doing scamming. The thing that made me more angry was they broke into my computer and I couldn’t get out of it. The "X" did not work. I would appreciate that you add my complaint to wherever or whomever you file these complaints with — government (state or federal) agencies. Thank you.
