Type of a scam Phishing
Phone rang, caller ID showed name of Ronald Mazon and a local phone number. I answered because I thought it was a tradesman my husband left a message for. When I answered I was outside (it was extremely windy and raining) trying to get the dogs in. A female person stated something about health care and a recorded line. She asked if I could hear her – again it was very noisy outside- and I said ‘yes’ and she hung up. Immediately I realized that I was a victim of the phone scam where someone records you saying ‘yes’ so that they can get charges authorized on your utilities, credit cards, etc.
