Setting up Roku device and entered website roku.com/link to enter code from my cell phone. The web link came up with Roku link – enter code for setup. I went to the website without seeing the web address which was not the official Roku site. I entered the code and it came back with something like – Opps – couldn’t accept code – network error and a phone number to call. I called the number and a person with accent from India said there was an IP conflict on their servers and he could enter the code manually. He just needed the code from me and my consent to enter it. He started asking me some casual questions and I became a bit suspicious. He said there was a charge of $99.99 for initial setup of the Roku and I could pay by credit card. I then knew it was a scam and hung up. He called me back but I did not answer.
