Be wary of crowdfunding platforms (Kickstarter and Indiegogo especially). There are people on there who create project after project, collect money, then never deliver a product. They change the business name and Kickstarter does not vet them to see if they’ve scammed before. I have proof that I got scammed by serial scammers.

I contributed to the Reviv Weighted Blanket over a year ago. They charged my credit card shortly after and following several emails and reaching out to Indiegogo, still no blanket. Indiegogo will not give out the physical address. From what I see on Indiegogo and KickStarter, they have scammed MILLIONS and never delivered the product.

Advertised for sample eye cream for free with a charge of $4.95 for shipping. Billed me $4.95 2x and sent product sample. Then was billed by IO Boost for $88.95 and another debit for Strong Max Fitness of $88.95. I called both numbers as well as the number for Reviv on my order to question the charges totalling $187.80 when I only authorized and received confirmation to pay $4.95. I was not able to clearly understand the person who answered the phone but she did say that any future orders would be canceled and I would receive an email confirmation. I did not. I called my bank and disputed the charges and my bank reimbursed me. On 1/3/17 I was billed $88.95 for [email protected] and another $88.95 for [email protected] On 1/5/17, I received a package with eye serum cream and night cream. I returned the items and had to dispute the charges again, put a fraud alert on my bank card and cancel my bank card to avoid future charges. I agreed to a sample for $4.95 to REviv and was charged over $350.00. The company uses different addresses, different phone numbers, and different names.
