I was called one morning and told I had won a 9000 dollar grant for being a student and unemployed. They told me to call another number and tell them the code that was given to me. I had to pay in the process, but I was promised to be fully refunded. Then I am instructed to purchase apple play cards instead of giving them my bank account, so I could be authorized to receive the grant. I had to pay 200 for one and750 dollars, in separate cards. At one point I even had to pay 990 dollars for a so called money insurance for the amount of money that was being transferred over to Florida. Finally, when I think it’s over the supposed IRS withholds my money (at this point 11000 dollars) and that I had to pay a 1450 fee, based off taxes. I decided to cancel everything expecting my refund, but I get a phone call saying I need to pay a 145 dollar cancelation fee and if I dont pay that I will not be refunded.
